Well, I've grabbed something from the stack in the traction queue and it looks like an unfinished All-Nation ITS freight trailer. Looks like it's going to be an outside door rounded end version, too. Bit naked on the underbody, too ????

Now I've just got to round up all the parts and bits to finish it off. Has trucks and couplers (of a sort), but that's to its credit.

I always enjoy the transformation you bring about once you get such a model on your workbench...It's not a skill that just happens accidently either. I'll keep a eye open for your progress Marty.

Thanks!

Somebody did a fairly decent job on this one so far, but never finished it off. 1st order of business will be to
fix the one bit of trim that's loose on the one end before it gets broken. Carpenter's glue and a clamp should sort that out

Then it's add a brake cylinder just to reduce the nakedness of that underbody; limited there working about the truss rods so that's going to just be a basic K brake. Now putting turnbuckles on those truss rods will be a challenge; cold cut them apart and thread hem in from both ends, but that wire is easily 0.040, so back to some old Walthers or Wagner squeeze on turnbuckles or whatever else I dig up out of the parts bins.

New doors and hardware; steps and grabs, brake wheel....anti-climbers! At least it came with some metal Athearn trucks under it so I doubt I'll add any weight.

Not sure I see any reason to not fasten the roof down, but then againit's not a problem to leave it loose - that fit is rather good!

Ok, this one is done as far as I'm going on it.... That original layer of paint and some of the black that got on the sides just isn't going to go away -- I'm thinking this is a good candidate for some hard use weathering, 😉 Probably let it's net owner indulge in that path.
