I have an opportunity to acquire some Lobaugh trucks that will be the correct style for a project I want to do. Are these trucks of good quality? I do not mind some tweeking but if they are not worth the effort I would much rather search further.
Thanks in advance.

Odds are that they are somewhat crude in comparison to say Yoder trucks or the trucks you can get from Bill Davis, but then the real question stands as being whether the style you need are available in any other form from anyone else at all. Being good solid bronze castings they will last forever and with the right wheelsets, roll nigh on forever. If you can get them at a decent price and they fit the project, they might be all that's realistically available.

Mr Yoder and Mr Davis' trucks would cost more than the car to which they were attached. If they roll well and have decent detail they might just be a fit. Thank you.

You got my point precisely! While I have some Yoder trucks about, I also have few cars that justify their use and generally stick with my Athearns with IM wheelsets. 😉 😉

I need T section bettendorfs. The search goes on. San Juan made them but I do not see them anywhere anymore. Oh well....

I believe I found a small supply of the San Juan trucks. A fellow modeler may have come to my rescue. O Scalers are a helpful bunch.

Bruce,

If your supply doesn't work out I have the old Chooch Line of brass truck kits. Included are decent sets of the "T Section" trucks.
